About the Discount Calculator
Enter the original price and a discount percentage to see the sale price and how much you save. A second discount field lets you stack promotional offers (e.g. 20% off then an extra 10% loyalty discount).
Add a VAT rate to see the final price consumers will pay. Multiply by quantity for bulk orders.
How to use the Discount Calculator
- Enter the original price.
- Set the first discount percentage.
- Optionally add a second stacked discount.
- Add VAT rate and quantity if needed.
- View the final price and total savings.
Frequently asked questions
How do stacked discounts work?
The second discount is applied to the already-reduced price. So 20% + 10% off £100 = £72, not £70. The combined effective discount is 28%.
Is VAT applied before or after discount?
VAT is applied to the discounted price — you pay tax on what you actually spend.
Can I calculate the original price from a sale price?
Enter the known discount and work backwards: Original = Sale price / (1 − discount/100). Or use the margin calculator for reverse pricing.
