Are these conversions exact?
No. Grade conversion is inherently approximate. Different institutions may use different mapping tables. These are widely accepted approximations based on published guidance.
How does the German scale work?
1.0 is the best (sehr gut), 4.0 is the minimum pass (ausreichend), 5.0 is a fail. It runs inversely to most other systems.
What is a 2:1 equivalent to in GPA?
